Our post-surgical rehabilitation starts with a consultation where we evaluate your whole pet.
Based on the evaluation we will create a treatment plan that includes some or all of the following: manual therapy, laser therapy, therapeutic exercises, and veterinary spinal manipulation therapy (VSMT).
The most critical part of the program is you!!
The closer you are able to stick the the program, the better the results.
We prescribe exercises in four week blocks and then schedule re-evaluation and the next exercise education session. VSMT frequency depends on what we find during our examination.
We may need to recheck in 1 or 2 weeks or we may not need to recheck for 4 weeks.
Manual therapy is recommended once or twice weekly in most cases and laser therapy protocols depend on reason we are using the laser.
